SOUTHWEST WORKERS UNION

Women workers, teachers and students make up the Board of Directors. The first tier is the general membership, which meets yearly in an assembly to set the direction for programing of the organization. The second tier is a board comprised of 5 members and 5 allied board members and 1 Youth Representative. They meet quarterly. They come out of the general membership and work directly with the executive director. Allied Board Members are participants of Centro por la Justicia, our parent organization.

Las trabajadoras, ly los estudiantes forman La Mesa Directiva. El primer nivel es la membresía general, que se reúne anualmente en una asamblea para establecer la dirección de la programación de la organización. El segundo nivel es un tablero compuesto por 5 miembros. Se encuentran trimestralmente. Son elegidos por la membresía general y trabajan directamente con el director ejecutivo. Los miembros de la Junta aliada son participantes de Centro por la Justicia, la organización hermana de SWU y patrocinador fiscal.
